I played football and wrestled all through high school, and dabbled in track and baseball. I then went to Penn State, and tried to stay fit with typical lifting and cardio. After discovering crossFit in 2013, I fell in love because it was the first workout that recreated the intensity and camraderie of practices from sports growing up. My first workout was Cindy, and it was maybe the most humbling 20 minutes of my life! My favorite part of every class is the high fives after the WOD, where everyone agrees “that was awful…. let’s do it again tomorrow.” I moved to Madison in Jan 2018, became a recursive member on my second day in town, and I haven’t looked back. I’m so grateful I found the awesome community at CFR!
