Growing up, Bryan played baseball and soccer, and was a gymnast. Bryan realized early that he possessed a keen kinesthetic sense that helped him excelled at sports like gymnastics and baseball.

In college, Bryan played baseball and earned All Conference honors in 2007. Not wanting to give up his love of gymnastics, he also joined the diving team and won 3rd place in the 1 meter and 3 meter events at the Midwest Conference finals in 2008.

While earning his degree in linguistics at UW-Madison, Bryan found CrossFit and started doing CrossFit’s online workouts. Bryan decided to join a CrossFit gym after completing his degree and has been an enthusiastic supporter of CrossFit ever since.

Bryan loves teaching, sharing his knowledge, and helping people achieve their fitness goals.

As a dedicated vegan, he also has the knowledge of healthy nutrition and the critical role it plays. Above all, Bryan believes that fitness should be fun.

In the spring of 2016, Bryan earned a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer Certificate and started coaching soon after. He is a firm believer in combining body-weight exercises and weightlifting (i.e., CrossFit) to better one’s overall fitness, while also promoting a “movement” lifestyle that develops an understanding of the body and physical expression.

In his spare time, Bryan enjoys hiking with his wife Meredith and reading about current events and politics.
