Jeremiah is an airline pilot and him and his wife are expecting a baby in a few months! He has done a great job getting to the gym consistently and tackling all of the movements. He’s another staple at the noon class – so be sure to say hi to him when you see him!

What was the biggest struggle you had before joining Recursive?
Just getting to the gym at all. I work as an airline pilot which usually means long hours. When we finally get to the hotel at the end of the day all I wanted to do was eat dinner and crash. Coming to Recursive on my days off inspires me now to find time to hit the hotel gym during the days I am on the road. That was an unexpected benefit of starting CrossFit.

What made you choose Recursive for your fitness needs/goals?
I really liked the vibe here when I first came to checkout the gym. I appreciate that the workouts are all scaleable for different fitness levels, and the emphasis is on moving properly rather than lifting the most weight or doing the most reps, etc. Also the variety of membership options allowed me to find something that worked with my schedule.

What is the most important thing you’ve learned at the gym?
To push myself during each workout without over-doing it. I try to get out of my comfort zone each day while still avoiding injury. I manage to go home with just the right amount of soreness.

What are you most proud of (so far)?
Getting serious about dedication. I’ve been coming to Recursive since last August and have been consistently attending 2 – 3 days a week as well as working out when I’m out of town. I’ve never been this serious about going to the gym and I’m pretty damn happy about it.

What’s your favorite gym memory?
The first time I climbed the rope all the way to the top (despite the rope rash I got). The rope climb has become of my favorite movements now.

What do you hope to accomplish next?
I will own those double-ups one of these days.
