MOVIE (and) MARATHON for Mental Health Awareness

Row a MARATHON and raise awareness for Mental Health Issues

During the 2018 CrossFit Games, athletes were tasked with rowing a marathon distance (42,195 meters) to end the first day of competition. Now is YOUR chance to row a marathon (by yourself or with a few friends) AND raise money and awareness for Mental Health Issues.

We are raising awareness of Mental Health Issues and all proceeds will go to the Dane County NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) and our neighbors (PACT) Program for Assertive Community Treatment who support those efforts with their community services.

There will also be an opportunity to share your personal experiences with mental health issues (anonymously if preferred.) Proceeds from all retail sales that day will also be donated. There will also be a donation box available if you want to donate but are unable to participate.

We will start the Marathon Row at 8:00am on Saturday, March 7th, 2020. Four hour hard time cap. $200/rower, can rows in teams of 1-4 people. One Team Captain will register/reserve a rower.

While you row, we will project movies on the big screen. Movies will be chosen by you at the gym through Penny Wars. You can vote for your favorite movie(s) using pennies and paper money. Silver coins count negative (so you can vote against movies you don’t want to see.)
