Originally from Northern Virginia, Scott made his way to Madison for college where he was a two-time letter winning varsity rower for the Badgers.
After graduating in 2007 with an Economics degree, Scott spent some time out east in Princeton New Jersey as a U.S. National Team Rower and competed in World Championship Races in Belgium and Switzerland. Scott’s first job after being a professional rower was at Great Lakes Naval Station in North Chicago where he helped establish the Naval Special Warfare Preparation Course for Navy SEAL candidates.
Scott immersed himself in learning what it took to endure the rigors of arguably the hardest military training in the world to better prepare his students to succeed in achieving their goals. In 2012, Scott took over as head coach at Lincoln Park Crossfit (the 3rd CrossFit affiliate in Chicago).
Scott did his first CrossFit workout in 2008, which, was “Murph” and loved the camaraderie working hard with like-minded individuals created.
