Purpose of the Workout:
It is hard to believe that today is the last day of May! That means today is our strength focus of the month retest…the 20 rep max back squat. The goal here is to match or exceed what you did at the beginning of the month and if you are feeling good, go up in weight again and see how much of an increase you can attain.

The purpose of our WOD today is to experience both kinds of rowing we experience in CrossFit. The first is submaximal where we are trying to be as efficient as possible to not burn yourselves out. This is what we want to do during the “buy-in” portion. The second is max effort where we are not concerned with burning out. This is what we want to do after our push jerks when we get back on the rower and are trying to accumulate as many meters as possible.
