Purpose of the Workout:
Since we are in the thick of improving upon our power focus for the month, we are going to doing some heavy split jerks today. We are using the same cluster format that most of us should have done before. Each set will be 3 repetitions total. The goal here is to perform our last set as close as possible to our 1RM split jerk.

Our WOD today, appropriately named “Griptastic,” is a couplet of hang power cleans and toes to bar (both grip intensive movements) We will be ascending by 2 reps of each movement and scoring the worst of our 3 rounds. Even with the 3:00 rest, you will need to pace those first two rounds as you don’t want your grip to totally fail on you that last round.
